Why Swipey Duel gifting decides each round

Duels launched on 14 August 2026 with a free tap alongside gifts. It did not last long. A free tap made rounds noisy, easy to swing with a few idle thumbs, and disconnected from the supporter race that decides the private live. On 1 September 2026 the team removed it, and since then the round's question has been answered by hearts alone: the crowd that backs a girl with gifts decides what she does next.

Tying the outcome to hearts changes the room in two ways. Every round result means something, because someone paid for it. And the round race and the top-supporter race merge into one, so backing your girl and chasing the private live are a single action. The two bars on screen show exactly who is winning and by how much.

The gift catalogue

Gifts come in six tiers, from a small gesture to a grand one, and every tier is priced in hearts with a hearts icon next to the price so you see the cost before you tap. We do not print the names or the prices here because both are configured in the product and can change between battles; the catalogue you see in the room is the one that counts. What matters for the round is heart value, so several small gifts move a bar just as far as one large gift of the same total.

What gifters get back

• A personal thank-you. The girl you gifted speaks to you, and only you hear it. The rest of the room sees the gift land but not the reply.
• Priority in room chat. The girls reply through AI to the public chat, and gifters are answered first when the room is busy.
• Album progress. Every heart fills your personal per-girl bar toward the five album reward collections, whoever wins the room.
• A shot at the private live. The viewer who gifted the most to the winning girl across all five rounds is her top supporter and is taken into the private live.

Where hearts come from

Hearts are Swipey AI's reward currency, and Duels spends the same hearts as the rest of the platform. You earn them by completing daily and permanent quests, keeping the 7-day streak going, levelling up relationships with your characters, hitting milestones and taking the daily spin. Premium members ($7.99 a month) also receive hearts automatically every day. Hearts packs are sold in the app for anyone who wants more, and if you sign up from Duels you receive free hearts to start with.

Hearts you do not spend in the arena are not wasted. The slot spin: a gift by chance

Since 17 September 2026 a live duel has a slot spin, and it is one more way to gift. Every spin lands a random gift from the duel gift catalogue in the pot of the girl you back, so it counts toward her round like a gift you picked yourself. The only difference is who chooses the gift: you do when you tap the catalogue, the spin does when you spin. Nothing comes back to your balance, because a spin never pays out hearts or anything else; the gift goes to her. Premium members get a free spin on a cooldown, and other spins cost hearts. We do not print the spin price or name the gifts, because both are set in the product and can change. The date and the other September changes are on Swipey Duels updates.

Room chat and gifting in the open

Room chat is public and the girls read it. They reply through AI, picking up context and direct mentions, and gifters are prioritised. Links have been blocked since 18 August 2026, so nobody can drop a URL into a busy final round. Gifting is visible to the whole room, which is part of the appeal: a large gift in the last seconds before the lock is a statement, and the room reacts to it. If you would rather be quiet about it, gift early and let the bar speak.

Gifts and tips elsewhere on Swipey

Duels did not invent gifting on Swipey; it borrowed a habit the platform already had. In a one-to-one chat you can send gifts to a character, and on creator profiles you can tip Verified Creator Models, who can answer a tip with a reward video. Fanclub content sets and custom content requests from those creators are also paid in hearts. The difference in the arena is that a gift is public and competitive: it moves a bar everyone can see and it is measured against the other side's gifts inside a 40-second window.
